A bare backyard patio is fine - until it rains, or the sun beats down and drives everyone inside. That's the problem this Auburn, Indiana homeowner wanted to solve. They had a nice concrete paver patio but no real reason to stay out on it when the weather turned.
What we built is a solid wood-post covered structure with a corrugated metal roof, attached right to the back of the house. It ties into the existing patio perfectly and gives the whole space a defined, intentional feel. The kind of thing that makes you actually want to be outside.
The framing is built with treated lumber - the right call for anything that's going to live outdoors year-round in Indiana. The metal roof panels shed water fast and hold up without the ongoing maintenance headaches you'd get with other roofing materials. It's a low-maintenance setup that's built to last.
What makes this work is that it didn't require tearing anything up. The existing concrete paver patio is solid, and we were able to work with it rather than around it. The covered structure now anchors the whole backyard layout and creates a natural spot for the fire pit, the patio table, and everything else the homeowner already had out there.
From concrete work to full outdoor builds, we handle it all. If your backyard space isn't working as hard as it should, there's usually a straightforward fix - and it starts with the right crew showing up with a solid plan.
